What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay compensation for damages caused by the Tenant. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit as of the date the application was filed and had wilfully or negligently caused undue damage to the residential complex by damaging a wall in the hallway when moving into the rental unit. The Landlord incurred costs of $666.70 to repair the damage.

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $666.70, which represents the reasonable costs of repairing the damage, and $186.00, which represents the fee paid to file the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by March 13, 2022, the Tenant will owe simple interest calculated from March 14, 2022 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
