What happened
Landlords applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to non-payment of rent and persistent late payment. Tenant did not attend the hearing. Landlords provided evidence of rent arrears and persistent late payments.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 11, 2023. The Tenant must pay $8,783.30 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears and application filing fee. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $19.73 per day from January 11, 2023, until vacating the unit. If full payment is not made by March 11, 2023, interest will accrue, and the Landlords may file for eviction enforcement.
