What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant did not pay the total rent the Tenant was required to pay for the period from November 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on June 15, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of June 15, 2020, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,648.00 in rent arrears and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 31, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 3.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
