What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination, and the Tenant did not void the notice by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,821.55 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $6.15 per day starting March 5, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant pays $2,180 on or before March 15, 2022, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
