What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before November 27, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $10,648.95 for compensation for the use of the unit from November 1, 2020 to November 16, 2021, and $27.95 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from November 17, 2021 to the date they move out of the unit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing on or before November 27, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
