What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 17, 2022. The Tenant must move out by January 28, 2022, and pay $832.27 to the Landlord for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 to January 17, 2022. Additional compensation of $49.32 per day is owed from January 18, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. If the unit is not vacated by January 28, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
