What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted, wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 4, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $2,000 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage, and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 4, 2021, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
