What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in the mediated settlement issued by the Board on February 10, 2020 with respect to a previous application.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 16, 2020. As of April 14, 2020, the Tenant owes no money to the Landlords because the amount of the rent deposit and interest the Landlords owe on the rent deposit exceeds the arrears of rent and costs related to the application fee for the previous application. However, the Landlords are authorized to offset $40.93 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting April 15, 2020 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit.
