What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from November 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on March 29, 2021, but were in possession of the unit on the date the application was filed.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $6,400.00 in rent arrears and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by October 30, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
