What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before August 31, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $1,382.50 for compensation for the use of the unit from July 1, 2021 to August 4, 2021, and an additional $39.50 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from August 5, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by August 15, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
