What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 9, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $12,225.51, plus $62.47 per day starting June 29, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 9, 2021, they will owe interest and the Landlords can file the order for enforcement. The Tenants can void the order and continue the tenancy by paying $12,432.76 by June 30, 2021 or $14,332.76 by July 9, 2021.
