What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant committing illegal acts of theft and possession of stolen property in the rental unit and residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 12, 2022. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before December 12, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,082.19 for use and occupation of the unit from July 6, 2022 to November 30, 2022, and $41.10 per day starting December 1, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
