What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on April 7, 2022, and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from January 1, 2022 to April 7, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,837, which includes rent arrears up to April 7, 2022 and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 18, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
