What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant, a guest of the Tenant, or an occupant of the rental unit disconnecting the smoke alarm, blocking a fire exit, driving recklessly in the parking lot, and starting a fire in the parking lot, which seriously impaired the safety of other residents.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 25, 2020. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date and pay the Landlord $175 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the amount owing by August 25, 2020, they will owe interest starting August 26, 2020.
