What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (TSL-17476-20) issued on March 10, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay $882.30 rent on or before January 1, 2022, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 6, 2022. The Tenant owes no money to the Landlord as the rent deposit and interest exceed the arrears. The Landlord is authorized to offset $29.01 per day for compensation starting January 27, 2022, until the Tenant moves out. The eviction may be enforced by the Sheriff starting February 7, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
