What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before January 4, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $3,478.80, which represents the rent owing up to December 31, 2020 and the costs related to the application fee for the previous application. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $30.22 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting January 1, 2021 to the date the Tenants move out of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by January 4, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
