What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenants had not vacated the rental unit prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on June 17, 2023 unless the Tenants pay $20,066 to void the order and continue the tenancy. If the Tenants do not pay, they must vacate the unit by June 17, 2023 and pay the Landlords $13,910.29 plus daily compensation of $92.05 from May 26, 2023 until move-out.
