What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex, harassed, coerced, obstructed, threatened or interfered with the Tenant, and withheld or interfered with a vital service.
The ruling
The Landlord must pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $1,323 and $120 for out-of-pocket expenses. The Landlord breached their obligations by failing to fix the stove top elements, removing the Tenant's food from the fridge, restricting the Tenant's ability to have visitors after 10pm, and entering the common areas without proper notice.
