What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord intends to demolish the rental unit and build a new home for his personal use. The Landlord has obtained all the necessary permits to proceed with the project.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated as of June 30, 2021. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before June 30, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced starting July 1, 2021.
