What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant did not pay the full rent owed from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, and the Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective August 30, 2021.

The ruling

The order is limited to the Landlord's cost of filing the application, which the Tenant must pay. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by January 16, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
