What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent, substantial interference with the Landlords' lawful rights, and the Tenants committing an illegal act. The Landlords claimed the Tenants did not pay rent from July 2021 to January 2022, changed the locks without providing a key, and that Rebekah Ghanei physically assaulted Landlord Majlinda Bregu.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022, unless the Tenants pay the full amount owing by that date to void the eviction order and continue the tenancy. The Tenants must also provide the Landlords with a key to the new locking system by February 5, 2022, or the Landlords can apply to terminate the tenancy.
