What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous mediated consent order. The Tenants did not meet the condition to pay $2,861.60 rent by January 1, 2022 as specified in the consent order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out by February 5, 2022. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $18,540.41 for rent arrears and costs related to the previous application, plus $94.08 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 1, 2022 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 5, 2022, they will owe interest starting February 6, 2022.
