What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords have entered into an Agreement of Purchase and Sale of the rental unit and the Purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant must pay the Landlords $292.60 for use of the unit from October 1-5, 2021, and $58.52 per day for use of the unit from October 6, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 31, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
