What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant was not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 1, 2022. The tenant must pay $6,276.25 plus $25.51 per day starting February 19, 2022 to the landlords. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by March 1, 2022, the landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office to enforce the eviction. The tenant can void the order and continue the tenancy by paying $6,570 by February 28, 2022 or $7,346 by March 1, 2022.
