What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants were not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $16,286 by December 15, 2022 or $18,436 by December 18, 2022 to void the order. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must pay $12,622.12 plus daily compensation of $70.68 starting October 25, 2022 until they vacate the unit.
