What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants raised issues of lack of running water and frozen sewer line.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 18, 2014 unless the Tenants pay $2,720 to void the eviction order. The Tenants must pay $2,319.02 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and application costs, less a $450 abatement for lack of running water. The Tenants must also pay $9.86 per day for use of the unit starting October 8, 2014 until they move out.
