What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amount. The Tenant must move out by April 13, 2023, if the order is not voided. The Tenant owes $123.87 to the Landlord, plus $43.99 per day for use of the unit from February 14, 2023, until move-out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting April 14, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
