What happened
Landlord applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to the Tenant causing undue damage, using the unit inconsistently with residential use, and seriously impairing safety. The Tenant's unit was found to be in disarray with piles of combustible items, posing a fire hazard.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated due to the Tenant's actions seriously impairing safety. The Tenant must vacate by March 12, 2022, and pay $4,434.80 to the Landlord. Additional compensation of $18.08 per day is owed from March 8, 2022, until the Tenant moves out. If not vacated by the specified date, the Sheriff may enforce the eviction order.
