What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations, failed to comply with health/safety/housing standards, and harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with them. Tenants also applied for an order that Landlord collected or retained money illegally.

The ruling

The Tenants' applications were not supported by sufficient evidence. The Landlord's actions, while inappropriate, were not found to substantially interfere with the Tenants' reasonable enjoyment. The Landlord was ordered to pay a small rent abatement to MJ and BR for harassment, and to pay interest on their last month's rent deposits.
