What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order to pay rent arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 1, 2017. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $623.23 in rent arrears and $12.36 per day in compensation for use of the unit from April 21, 2017 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 1, 2017, interest will start accruing at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by May 1, 2017, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
