What happened
The landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's alleged operation of an illegal tailoring business in the rental unit, as well as for non-payment of rent.
The ruling
The landlord's applications were dismissed. The notice of termination for non-payment was found to be invalid, and the landlord failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove the tenant was using the rental unit for an inconsistent purpose.
