What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective May 25, 2017, which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 17, 2017 unless the Tenant pays $2,009.70 to void the eviction order. The Tenant must also pay $191.67 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears and compensation, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $30.15 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting July 7, 2017 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 17, 2017, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
