What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenant acknowledged the non-payment but explained that it was partly due to the Landlord's interference with her disability funding.
The ruling
The previous order was set aside, and the Landlord's application was dismissed. The Tenant was ordered to pay the outstanding rent arrears and costs of $4,242 in two installments by March 31, 2021 and April 15, 2021. If the Tenant fails to make the payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
