What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay $300 towards rent arrears by the deadline specified in a previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 21, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,524.04, which includes rent arrears up to November 30, 2021 and the previous application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $38.70 per day in compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 21, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
