What happened

Landlord applied for an order to evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The tenant was not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,102.00, which includes rent arrears owing up to September 30, 2022 and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 27, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
