What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 20, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,296.33 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $21.37 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 10, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
