What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Tenants had not paid rent from April 2020 to November 2021. Landlords served a valid N4 notice.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 26, 2021. The Tenants must pay $25,003.10 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and application fees, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by November 26, 2021, they will start owing interest and the Landlords can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
