What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant had not paid rent from October 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021. A Notice of Termination was served with an effective date of January 11, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 15, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $23,386.00 on or before that date. The Tenant must pay $20,630.53 plus $47.67 per day starting January 5, 2022, for rent arrears, compensation, and filing fees. If not paid, the Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting January 16, 2022.
