What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $4,119.88 by February 28, 2023. If not voided, the Tenant must move out by February 28, 2023, and pay $2,445.20 plus $55.06 per day from March 1, 2023, until they vacate. The Landlord can file for eviction enforcement starting March 1, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
