What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant or another occupant of the rental unit has committed an illegal act or has carried out, or permitted someone to carry out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 13, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement starting March 14, 2022. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $42.48 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from March 3, 2022 to the date the Tenant moves out, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
