What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 23, 2021. Tenants failed to pay the total rent required for the period from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $3,582.24 on or before that date. Tenants must pay $2,060.88 for rent arrears and compensation up to January 5, 2022, plus $53.23 per day starting January 6, 2022, and $186.00 for application filing costs. If not vacated by January 16, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
