What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (TSL-18058-20) issued on June 23, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay $1,335.00 on or before July 15, 2021 and August 15, 2021 towards arrears of rent as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by January 15, 2022. The Tenant is ordered to pay $13,492.10 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears up to August 31, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $43.91 per day from September 1, 2021, until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not comply, the Landlord may enforce eviction through the Court Enforcement Office starting January 16, 2022.
