What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 23, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,936.00 in rent arrears and application fees, plus $73.97 per day in compensation for use of the unit from August 13, 2021 until move-out. If the full amount is not paid by August 23, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
