What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 18, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,807.87 for rent arrears, NSF cheque charges, and application fees. The Tenant must also pay $43.40 per day in compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 18, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
