What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed NSF cheque charges and related administration charges. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $25,286.00 by that date. Tenants must pay $23,497.63 plus $73.97 per day starting January 6, 2022, for rent arrears, NSF charges, and application fees. If not paid, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting January 17, 2022.
