What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenant failed to pay $500 by October 14, 2021 and $700 by November 2, 2021 towards rent arrears as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,536 for rent arrears and application costs, plus $47.67 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting December 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 16, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest starting January 17, 2022.
