What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on June 24, 2021 with respect to application SWL-46835-20.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by October 12, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $5,710.47, which includes rent arrears up to October 1, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $31.68 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 2, 2021 until they move out.
