What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant had not paid $2,498.70 of the total rent owed from September 1, 2018 to January 31, 2020. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination due to the rent arrears.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $2,688.70, which represents the amount of rent owing up to October 31, 2020 and the cost of filing the application, according to a payment schedule over 13 months. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the outstanding balance shall become immediately due and owing and the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
