What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 22, 2022. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before October 22, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,776.14, which includes compensation for use of the unit from April 30, 2022 to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 22, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 4.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
