Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order, which was to allow the Landlord entry to the unit to perform a life/safety inspection.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 15, 2021. The Tenant owes no money to the Landlord, as the amount of the rent deposit and interest owed to the Tenant exceeds the amount the Landlord is entitled to. The Landlord is authorized to offset $29.24 per day for the Tenant's use of the unit starting November 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates.
